My New Favorite Spot: Hane Cafe
As you know, I live in Ordu. Ordu is not a big city and I think I have been to most of the coffee shops and cafes in town. I am also someone who is usually in the know about things so when my local friend took me to the coolest café a few months ago I was so surprised that I had never been or heard of it before.
I wasn’t exactly sure where my friend was taking me. But I knew that this café was in the Taşbaşı neighborhood which is my favorite neighborhood in town. It is the oldest neighborhood in town and the streets are made of stone. I love walking and exploring in this neighborhood because you can see the history throughout. Many of the buildings and homes are in the old Ottoman style and are still very solid. Before we got to the café, we walked in a section of the neighborhood I had never been before. We finally got to the café and I did not know what to expect because the entrance is a little hidden and it is in this old building. I was so excited when I walked in. This hidden café was crowded and thriving. The atmosphere was really cool and unique. There were paintings on the walls. My favorite was the one of the lighthouse. There were a few different rooms that were used for just hanging out and for activities. They have activities like music and crafts for children and adults. There is a balcony on the main floor with some tables. My friend and I sat outside because the view is amazing. The balcony overlooks the sea and you can even see the mountains in the distance. I got Turkish coffee along with my friend. Turkish coffee is growing on me but it is her absolute favorite. I also got a cookie and it was yummy. There are also many other desserts and regular coffee and tea available at Hane Cafe. We left the café from the front and came down these great stairs and took more pictures of course.
This café is perfect for studying or spending time with friends and for those who love posting beautiful pictures on their Instagram story.
I brought a friend here recently. I can not wait to go back and bring another friend.
Stay tuned for more Black Sea Adventures.
